From May to early June these Lake Erie walleyes can be caught in shallower waters closer to the shorelines. Springtime walleye is a great time to catch abundant numbers because they are depleted of nutrients from the spawn, which makes the bite plentiful.

LAKE ERIE SUMMER WALLEYE

During the summer months, walleye continue to migrate to the Eastern basin of Lake Erie where they seek deeper, cooler water in the heat of the summer. These months offer deep water tolling techniques for both quality sized walleye and quantity.

LAKE ERIE FALL WALLEYE

LAKE ERIE FALL WALLEYE

Starting in the early fall, walleye will start to return back to the Western basin of Lake Erie to their wintering locations. During this time walleyes will continue to feed heavily to fatten up before the cold winter months. They can still be caught during this period in both quality and quantity.
